Scott,

"...Who needs private messages when you can share a thread?"

<lol> You're absolutely right.

By the way, welcome aboard. I'm glad to have you join me here. The short term trading outlook for the issue isn't entirely clear. Based on the O-H-L-C candlestick charts, the stock broke out on 3/04/98 from the intermediate/long term downtrend from May of 1996. The close-only charts tell a different story though, and shows that it's got a bit more work before a true breakout is experienced.

The volume is indeed interesting, and it appears that a major part of the near-term trading characteristics of the stock is going to be determined by tomorrow's price action, in my opinion. I am concerned that the stock didn't entirely break out given the volume surge, but it appears that the price congestion around $2.00 is providing some expected overhead resistance to the issue (some distribution on Friday).

The short term strength has brought the stock to overbought levels, but then again, most breakouts occur while the stock is in overbought territory. Look at Nextel (NXTL) in early June of last year.

As for the fundamentals of the company, they remain outstanding in my opinion. I will contact the company again tomorrow and will report my findings.

Regards,

Rainier

PS. I would like to do a special on my Web Page for a technical analysi of SBEI for you, to pinpoint critical areas of attention for the stock. In addition, I am thinking of putting a spreadsheet comparison of Perle's balance sheet items to its competitors. I think it'll be interesting.

I was looking at the weekly charts, and noticed that on those charts (with the weekly being more significant than the daily), on a close-only and O-H-L-C chart basis, there are coinciding breakouts for both chart varieties.

Price congestion still remains at $2.00, but if we can close above this level, then all that resistance becomes our friend as it turns to support.

Regards,

Rainier
