>>Sell CUBE

CUBE has been downtrending for four days now. Get rid of it today if you can, and then get rid of
the broker.>>

My thoughts exactly...I was just being diplomatic <g>

LS whats your thoughts on TXN and PMCS? Next week is the semi's conference so that should give them a slight boost I would think. TXN revised world wide demand for semi's from 20% down to 10% this year and up from 15 to 30% next year. ESST doubled their chip production but they are not making any money kinda like cube.. Maybe they give them away in cerial boxes in asia..

Last: Compaq preannounce big time after the bell..after hours trading of $24 + (last quote per CNBC).. looks like it had an "inverted head and shoulder" and just broke the support too (based on after hour trade price)..
per CNBC latest estimated FY98 earnings is $1.23.. I see a next strong support around $19+... Can you help us out?

TIA

COMMENTARY on Today's Plays & watch list corrections: JA is the company I meant to include on my watch lists and not JAA.. Also I failed to include BWG on my list although it is on the "analysis" portion of my list. I decided to include the analysis since I've gotten so many e-mails about the stock list I posted last week. For those of you interested, the weekly stock list will be soon available with more choices than I usually post, as a (beta testing) newsletter available in .pdf format with charts & graphs highlighting some of the choices. Just e-mail me if you are interested.

Got out of mostly everything today I reported I bought at the bell, NTLI was a surprise as it was down a good part of the morning.. Of course now I'm back into some new earnings plays for Monday/Tuesday: (SELAY,MIKE,HGR,PPH,ADVH, 4 options and I stock)

The oils move extremely quickly you should set a sell limit right after you've picked them up. I'm expecting a further surge in oil sector when VTS, BWG's earnings come out on Tuesday. Both of them held very strongly today. VTS finally succumbed to pressure in the sector. RCOT,PRLS, STGE, HAZ popped strongly today but then almost the whole earnings watch list was up as well.. Monday-Tuesday will tell me which are the genuine good 'earnings plays' and which were just caught up in the momentum of the today's market. I expect the 'earnings plays' to hold up in a good market and bad market alike. Having gotten in and out of TKLC,NTLI, I don't disparage momentum plays!

ITEQ was a 'classic' good earnings play, popping 2 points immediately after their earnings came out. SELAY reported 3 cents above estimates and I expect a gap up on Monday. PRLS will be reporting on the 11th at 1:00. That should be good for some more. BKE, as I thought, went into its third consecutive 'up' day. Note that BKE, KTIE,SSPE,SCSWF and FRAG were up, even as the market was down 92 points.

I was asked this afternoon on RTtrader if I 'liked JBIL'. I explained that liking JBIL is not an easy question to answer. Yes, I like JBIL but I know it will tank as easily as the rest of the technology sector when 'warnings' are issued in other companies. I feel some companies (LHSPF, MSPG, ELNK, TLDCF, NTLI,IOM) are good longer term holds I am leery of holding JBIL, CPQ or any other tech stock for any length of time. The way I would play JBIL would be as a pure price/volume daytrade. Another way I'd play JBIL would be to wait until around March 23, watch it's pattern before earnings come out and perhaps get a 1-2 day hold there.

Right now I'm more interested in pharmaceuticals, health care since money coming out of technology is flowing into that sector. I also like retail, BLDG-Resdent/Commercl,Transportation/Airline,Computer Software.

Didn't dump it Friday, but I'll call him tomorrow and get rid of it.

I won't get rid of the broker, though, as he's had me in MDCO since 18 5/16 on 2/20 (it's 22 1/4 now) -- and he's done well for me in CMVT last month as well.

Thanks for the input,
KenB
