Judging from the trading activity at the last few min. before
closing, I think it was probably a buy. Nice pop today. I hope
we hold this direction for the next few trading days. Maybe
we'll reach 40 on expiry day.

From briefing

Ascend Communications Inc. (ASND) 33 9/16 +1 1/8: EVEREN Securities upgrades remote access networking products concern from intermediate-term "market perform" to "outperform" while keeping its long-term rating at "outperform." The firm also sets an intermediate price target of $37 and a long-term target of $43.....

I just have one question: I never understood when these guys set a target price. So for example in this case when ASND reaches $43/shr what does that mean? Does it mean we just then have to sell, pack the bag and go home? And who is the guy who would be buying the shares at $43 knowing that the target price was $43 for this stock!

It sure has turned into a very very funny (and dirty) game!

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi

>>Someone just traded 504,300 shares at 34 29/32. Cannot tell if purchase or sale: ASND<<

Gary,

In after-trade, is it true that every seller is matched with a buyer? If that's true, we can say some institution just bought half million ASND shares!!!! Looks like ASND has more fuel to go up more. Is $40 in ten days reasonable to ask?
