I think that what happened was that as MOT always disappoints the news was ignored... and that although the employment # was high the whisper # was worse, and that a bunch of clever trader got out under the cover of the rally... look if u will at the volumes on amat.... low... not many buyers.... look at the may puts... they barely moved.... I too am a child of the boom boom times... I can't imagine what its like to have a down year... that doesn't mean it won't happen

It does underscore the increasing difficulty of choosing stocks in this wacky market. When earnings don't mean anything and jobs reports don't mean anything and ANALysts insist on pinning down all news as 'company specific', what do you base a stock purchase decision on?

My brain hurts.
