Dell is also down sharply in after-trade because of CPQ. People are just not rational, they shoot first and then ask questions. From what I can tell from CPQ's announcement, the problem is company specific. It has nothing to do with ASIAN flu. It's company's execution problem. Dell should go up based on the news instead got killed. Well, I still say tomorrow and the day after both DOW and NASDQ will stay unchanged!

''We looked closely at our market and business plan once it became clear that sales out of our North American commercial channels
were not meeting our expectations,'' said Eckhard Pfeiffer, Compaq's President and Chief Executive Officer. ''We are putting in place
price reductions and aggressive promotions in the first and second quarter to reduce these channel inventories and accelerate the
implementation of our Optimized Distribution Model (ODM).''

This is the reason I loaded up with puts on the s and p. intc warns,
mot warns, coms cooks books and nothing drives the market down. every
one says that everything is fine. and now one of the better companies
is going to break even for the quarter. everyone states that it is
company specific, March has proven an unkind month in the past, good
luck to all esp. in the tech sector. earnings will one day count.
