Hola! Don't mean to intrude, but the referred to vegetation anomalies can be the result of the leaching out of excessive phosphorous (or other minerals) from kimberlite into the soil. This weathering-out of the minerals acts as a 'fertilizer', and can subsequently offer a visual distinction in plant growth.
