This DELL split could not have come at a worse time. It is going to be AMAT all over again. AMAT split at $100 2-for-1 to $50, tanked to $28 and now trades at $34. Hasnt sniffed $50 since.

DELL is not industry-proof as you goofy Bulls want to believe. Intel and Compaq warn, DELL right around the corner. Price wars are ragin like wildfires, reminds me of the disk drive sector about 6 months ago, all over again.

Good nite!!!!!!!

Dells swift response is sure appreciated, since I just bought into DELL..

By the way.. FWIW.. I've noticed dust gathering atop the multitude of CPQ computer cartons at Costco here in Honolulu.. the machines are overpriced relative to what else is available.. so it's easy to see why CPQ wants to dump the machines cheap.. Hewlett Packard has a better value on the same store shelves and throws in a printer and extra memory as well. ...

Ken Miller

Pat,

This Compaq debacle is pure simple and I don't know why the analysts don't get it. It's DELL taking away business accounts from Compaq with the help of direct internet commerce. I think Compaq just don't know how to BTO.
