What does "back-end loaded" mean ?

Jurgen,

It means that, rather than uniform sales throughout the quarter, they've got to cram some more in at the end of the quarter to meet Street expectations. It should be avoided. Also, it likely will mean that DSO will not decline as much as one would have liked.

I think the only reason that this is happening this quarter is because the new GX550 has only recently begun to ship. Next quarter and through the rest of the year, the revenue from this and the CBX500 should eliminate any back-end loading issue.

how is your back doing jurgen?

i know my back hurts from carrying gary k. on meaningful posts towards the end of the quarter.

sort of the same meaning for "back-end loaded", the end of the quarter needs to have heavier sales than the beginning to meet the goals.

p.s. gary, i look forward to another spirited defense of me by you. please no nastygrams, and i did not report gary k. the last time on advertising. gary's sense of humor was to reply to all in his public apology, not to me.
