FYI to all form YAHOO :Business and Finance:Stocks:Energy:Oil & Gas Operations:AIPN (American Int'l Petroleum) <- Previous Next -> Message 2561 of 2564Reply Good info from Gary - Part 1Fire_Ant22 Mar 6 1998 7:23PM EST Spoke with Gary Schulteis this afternoon and I pass along the following. Gary's responses are paraphrased, so don't get hung up on the exact words. Items in parentheses are my comments. Q. How's the refinery doing? A. Very well. He has seen it and claims the picture doesn't do it justice. Q. When will we see AIPC's 10K? A. It's with the accountants now and they hope/plan to meet the filing deadline. Q. Does AIPC have shareholder meetings? When? Where? A. Yes. June, July or August. Possibly at Lake Charles. Q. Will the warrants be extended? A. Maybe, maybe not, but keep in mind that GF wants that cash. Q. Do you (Gary) still have your (10,000?) warrants? A. Yes, haven't sold or converted any. Q. Do you (Gary) own any of the common? A. Yes, probably more than most people on the thread (Not sure if he meant personal or via MILL). Q. Have you (Gary) sold any? A. A few very small sales - money needed to pay office bills. (He was quite convincing that he and MILL are holding with high expectations for '98.) Q. How many employees does AIPC have? A. Not sure - maybe 50. (I've heard over 100.) Q. Is Chikuduk an oil or gas play? A. Oil, gas, and condensate. Q. What is the area of Chikuduk? A. It is definitely 60 km. long (not 50, not 32, not Manhattan). Width to be determined by new seismic. Q. How is Wavetech doing? A. On schedule. Q. How are JV negotiations going? A. Cannot comment. Q. How is Geotex doing on the Chik seismic acquisition? A. On schedule. How is MMG doing at Begesh? A. Haven't kept up on it. Begesh is less crucial because it was already mappable with old data. Q. What structures are included in the 1.1 billion? A. Orline and nearby small "sister" structures (which are not shown on the map) were what went into the pre-July estimates of 458 million. In July they added Begesh with 642 million to arrive at total 1.1 billion. (This would mean that the other structures north of Begesh and Orline have not been included yet.) (Note that the 642 million conflicts with the July 29 Reuters article that quotes GF as saying Begesh is 350 million) Q. How big is Chikuduk? A. Big! Q. When the time comes for AIPC to choose their 10% of the concession, does it have to be contiguous acreage or can it be in smaller pieces? A. It can be in as many pieces as they want. (This is terrific news if they can cherrypick only the biggest and best structures.) Q. Any truth to the rumor that AIPC might by acquiring some producing properties? A. No comment. (Why didn't he just say "No"?) Q. Who writes/approves press releases? A. Begins with the technical people, works it's way up the ladder, needs legal approval, needs approval of any other company being named, may recycle several times. Eventually GF signs off on it and it is given to MILL. MILL makes only rare minor changes. Process takes from a few days to as long as 2 weeks. Q. Any plans to expand the AIPC website, add more info. A. Yes, but not imminent. Q. Why so many problems with the FAX/e-mail lists/distribution? A. Each time they post their "Ads" they get hundreds of responses. They contract the actual FAXing and e-mailing out to Businesswire who does the actual mailing. Gary says that AIPC has one of the largest mailing lists at Businesswire (some 5000 mailings with each press release) and Businesswire is sometimes behind on their list "maintenance". Overall, I found Gary to be accommodating and open - anyone with questions should not hesitate to call him.
