Joseph - as I understand (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) these are all the same lawsuit with various firms taking part. Note that all the dates are the same - Sept 22 - Jan 22.

In CPQs conference call - they pointed out that their revenue shortfall was in the business computer area. To date IOMs strength is in the consumer market and therefore this should not have a large effect on IOM. Dell also stated that it did not see any significant change in it's business.

What are the chances that IOM won't even make a profit this quarter??? Extremely extremely unlikely that this would occur IMO!

<<Earnings warnings: CompUSA first, Intel second, Compaq third, IOM next? CompUSA is a big
time reseller of IOM products, and Compaq is a big time OEM for Zips. If they are hurting,
Iomega is hurting. I expect IOM to have earnings of less than 5 cents/share this quarter.

And how many Class action law suits do they have against them now? 4, 5? And they just
settled two older ones. These lawsuits are going to cost them money. What are the chances
that IOM won't even make a profit this quarter because of all this?

Concerned,

Joseph>>

To ALL: PLEASE DON'T WASTE ANY TIME RESPONDING TO JOESPH'S POSTS. JOSEPH IS ON TMF, SI, AND YAHOO! PRESENTING THE SAME SILLY, PATHETIC ARGUMENTS REGARDING IOM. JOSEPH'S IS NOT MAKING THESE ARGUMENTS SO HE CAN SAVE YOU MONEY, THIS IS THE LEAST OF HIS CONCERNS, HIS AGENDA, IT SEEMS, IS TO SPREAD AS MUCH FEAR AS POSSIBLE. AND HE'S DOING THIS ON ALL THREE THREADS TO MY KNOWLEDGE, NOT TO MENTION THE ONE'S THAT I DON'T EVEN BOTHER VISITING.

SOME OF HIS POINTS ARE DOWN RIGHT SILLY AND CAN BE REBUTTED WITH SIMPLE LOGIC, HOWEVER, DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS LOSER, HE'S NOT HERE TO DISCUSS FUNDEMENTALS ABOUT YOUR INVESTMENT.

GEE, MAYBE WE CAN GET IOM TO SUE THIS GUY.

ZEAD

Sorry to inform you that the Iomaniacs here generally display an alarming lack of sanity when it comes to this stock. Even with 40% of their holdings vanishing within 2 days time after 4th Q earnings, they refuse to acknowledge the fact that this broken stock is abysmal, and should be avoided in general.

With all of the good news out (Jaz2 shipping, Buz shipping, Zip sales reportedly doing well) do they think that the stock will all of a sudden march upwards? This is a stock that has proven that with any sign of bad news, it tanks like Gen. George Patton.

IOM is lower this year than last, and lower than the year before that. You know what? Next year, it will be lower again.

RE: Same Song, Different Day?

Joseph,

Don't you know any other songs? Didn't you just say this yesterday? On Motley Fool, here, AND Yahoo?

>> Earnings warnings: CompUSA first, Intel second, Compaq third, IOM next? <<

Has Iomega ever missed earnings? Yes. Has Iomega ever preannounced? No. What makes you think they'll preannounced, EVEN IF THEY WERE GOING TO MISS EARNINGS? Get a clue.

>> I expect IOM to have earnings of less than 5 cents/share this quarter. <<

I bet you get a positive surprise. Rocky is expecting $0.50/share. I bet he's disappointed.

>> And how many Class action law suits do they have against them now? 4, 5? And they just settled two older ones. <<

Yup, quite a few. Just like any big business. If you're talking about the shareholder class action lawsuit, there's just one. So far, six different law firms have issued press releases that they're helping with it.

>> These lawsuits are going to cost them money. <<

And here I thought lawsuits were free. Of course they'll cost money. It's a part of doing business. If you want to harp about expensive lawsuits, though, this is the wrong one. The litigation against Nomai is costing Iomega FAR more than the shareholder lawsuit will cost.

>> What are the chances that IOM won't even make a profit this quarter because of all this? <<

I would say 0%, but anything's possible. Let's call it 0.00001%, which is about the same odds as you coming up with an original bear argument.

RE: I was wrong.

Joseph,

Looks like you were right...

>> Earnings warnings: CompUSA first, Intel second, Compaq third, IOM next? RIGHT! CompUSA is a big time reseller of IOM products, and Compaq is a big time OEM for Zips. If they are hurting, Iomega is hurting. I expect IOM to have earnings of less than 5 cents/share this quarter. RIGHT! <<

>> And how many Class action law suits do they have against them now? 4, 5? And they just settled two older ones. These lawsuits are going to cost them money. What are the chances that IOM won't even make a profit this quarter because of all this? RIGHT!<<

And I was wrong (and rude): (#reply-3631936)

Has Iomega ever missed earnings? Yes. Has Iomega ever preannounced? No. What makes you think they'll preannounced, EVEN IF THEY WERE GOING TO MISS EARNINGS? WRONG! Get a clue. RUDE!

I bet you get a positive surprise [with your guess of 5c/sh]. WRONG! Rocky is expecting $0.50/share. I bet he's disappointed.

I would say 0% [chance of having a loss], but anything's possible. Let's call it 0.00001% WRONG!, which is about the same odds as you coming up with an original bear argument. RUDE!

Does anyone have some Grey Poupon for my crow sandwich?

Humbled again,
