First bought at 32 and then again at 30 and will buy again, this time I'll let the dust settle. I think this one will turn out to be a war between the analyst in the short term. Don't forget, we're betting on future earnings.

I think it's important to start focusing on the merger. It will happen and once it does, where will that put CPQ.

Must disclose though, I'm buying for sells in the year 2000's.

Have a bad habit of catching falling knives, at least on this one I can say I did the right thing for once.

<<similarities to disk drive industry....
5) Shareholders make claims as to why their company is invincible and will not be affected by everything else going on around them. DELL is immune because they are a great company and have a great business model. QNTM is immune because they are kicking everyones ass and have half their business in DLT. SEG is immune because they are the industry leader. >>

Yes, I thought of that also. The lesson from the dd industry became painfully clear. Nobody is immune to a price war. DELL, HP, IBM etc will have to respond.

John, I think that part of the problem with the disk drive makers is that new types of storage mediums are coming along, plus the drives are getting bigger. I just bought a computer with a 6.5 gigabyte drive. Years ago I used to buy drives because I ran out of space, but I'm not even close to filling this baby up. Nothing out there is a threat to computer makers, except other computer makers.
