Paul - Re: "I bought Novell in 93 or 94 ..."

Whoooeee ... I think I underestimated your losses!

In 1993 Novell was in a $20 to $30 range - mostly near $30!

I figured you for buying in at the low $20s!

I'll bet even with your 1994 purchases, your average purchase price may have been in the mid $20s - possibly higher!

Holding 10,000 of these in January, 1997 - and going to zero holdings later in the year - must have been done in the $7 to $9 range - where it was for nearly all of 1997!

Well, you have pretty much confirmed my LOW ESTIMATE for your losses.

Your time is coming - on April 15, Uncle Sam will let you write off some of those losses - LONG TERM LOSSES!

Re: "Your net worth is only down about 12% now right? Should I keep track."

Not quite...but from my reference point - and that of many others who have bought Intel and held it for more than a year - my net worth is WAY UP!

You just need the proper perspective, Paul.

To you, the world is a dismal nightmare, fraught with traps and pits that you have fallen into - courtesy of your brilliant economic and financial accumen that led you to your Novell investment.

To me, the world is pretty good. These are not the best of times for most of us but we are a heckuva lot better off than you are for picking Intel instead of Novell.

Paul

Paul and Paul...
Why don't you two call each other on the phone and work this out in private. You'd probably get along just fine. Just have a good laugh.
