I assumed what is meant by this is that once Price was in, others also wanted in. With the company losing its "untouchable" status with investors, further financing became likely, removing the threat of bankruptcy.

I generally agree with you. The next near term downside risk will be from "guidance" by Oxford toward current year financial results. Given the reaction to the WSJ article, would not expect significant downside.

The Templeton funds investment (Price) put no new money into the company, hence no impact on its capital position. Price research should have been based on publicly available information and any company guidance- should not have been based on insider information.
