Scotsman,

Well put. I don't believe that MSFT knows any other way to make
money. Extortion? Indeed! It was only 1 month ago that MSFT
refused to support any of its NT customers who decided to use
Novell's NDS in place of MSFT's directory services.

The hearings last Tuesday made it clear that they are a monopoly
and they are trying to lock NSCP out of the browser market illegally.
Just today, they announced a "new" version of "Java" that is even
less compatible with Java than the version shipped w/IE 4.0.

Hey, what more proof does anyone need?? These guys are scumbags
but who is going to do anything about it? The DOJ? Orrin Hatch?
Ralph Nader? The US Senate is full of a bunch of old guys who
don't even know what Gates is talking about when he feeds them
some line of shit about how they're not really a monopoly. Strom
Thurman was born BEFORE the automobile was in common use. McNealy
& Barksdale were on eggshells at the hearing, trying to be diplomatic
in front of such an august body. They should have really let Gates
have it.

cheers,

cherylw
