Curtiss, This is a different game than a year ago. My spec portfolio needs a winner. The other money is off where it belongs - relatively safe. However, there is good news this evening:

(13) CINCINNATI 100, UAB 85
---------------------------

D'Juan Baker scored 26 points and Ruben Patterson added 24 as
13th-ranked Cincinnati advanced to the final of the Conference
USA tournament by downing Alabama-Birmingham, 100-85, at the
Shoemaker Center in Cincinnati.

Michael Horton collected nine points, six rebounds and 10
assists for the Bearcats (24-5), who have not lost on their
homecourt in 18 games. Cincinnati will take on the winner of
the semifinal between North Carolina-Charlotte and Southern
Mississippi in Saturday's title game.

The Bearcats, who set a school record this season with 14
conference victories, won their eighth straight game and have
defeated the Blazers twice by a combined 32 points.

Cedric Dixon scored 17 points for UAB (20-11), which has won 20
games for the fourth time in seven years and likely is headed
for a berth in the National Invitation Tournament.
