"Ever heard of the "beating a dead horse to death" syndrome?" It's a horse? - I perceive porcinity, not equinity. And I'm not so sure it's dead, BB's recommendations still move stocks, for example Lexam, in which I hear BB took a PP a while back - until their balloons burst, for example Lexam yesterday. News of its imminent demise would be welcome though, whatever its genus. I am proud to state that I have never passed so much as one thin dime to Mr Bishop, and so he does not send me his stuff, and I have no idea what he says or how he says it. Being of a pensive nature, though, I find myself speculating on why he says it. There are apparently two levels of subscribers, most pay less and get the scoop a little later than the few who pay much more, and so become their prey. At the top of this little triangle is - guess who? What happened to get my back up recently was that BB dumped on Winspear and Yamana, one of which I own and one I don't. Doesn't really matter, they are both quality companies. At the same time, he pumped this Lexam. So I thought it was poetic justice to present the Mar 6/98 Winspear/Lexam story side-by-side. That's all, no big deal. It was part of a larger Politik, though. I find disgusting the whole idea of herds of speculators being led by such gurus. The great majority can have no hope of being in the front of the herd, and so see nothing but tails and assholes, and must step in the droppings of those who went before. Bishop is not the only one, there's Grandich and Struthers and Taylor and a raft of others. Too bad Chelekis is gone, he was a spot of local colour in a murky scene. Right now there's this Asensio guy leading great herds to short Crystallex, I see you are aware of that. All the same thing, imho. Better the individual educates himself, so that he can make his own decisions. Some would say (I would say this of Kaiser) that these gurus provide a service in that education. Maybe so, but it's an extremely expensive service - Bishop recommended Winspear a year ago between 3 and 4 dollars, then recommended dumping it a week ago at 1.00, just before drilling started on some quality targets ... and people pay for this advice.... "I WANT you to own this stock" - that's really funny -g- "How to Self-fulfill Your Own Prophecies - for a Week or Two" by B. Bishop. Each to his own, though ... I've enjoyed your comments around the threads ........ cheers ............... marcos
