Carl, You never know, with someone else's .02, we might get the monitor.<G> Compaq's problems are with business customers and not retail as was rumored earlier this week. I think the retail side will continue to sell well because now there is little reason to upgrade components. Why go thru all the trouble when you can just buy a decent new computer for $800. As long as Compaq is making a respectable margin on these models, they will do well with new customers and the upgrade market. I know lots of people who are ready to make new purchases. On the business side, they have problems. If all their business customers were like my place of employment, they would be in great shape. My IS Dept. never buys top of the line and seems to like buying slightly outdated stock. Not always good for me but good for Compaq since they buy their computers. It will be interesting to see how this all works out. I had not thought of the y2k problem postponing purchases. Hope that is not the case, otherwise this stock will be dead for a lot more than a quarter. Either way, I don't see this stock declining much further. Too many people want to own it for its future potential. Regards, Dave
