In our zeal to love Jesus Christ, we often do the worst thing to Him we could--we assume that He told us to forget about God.

This is actually a riddle. You can either think about it or summarily dismiss it as meaningless. The truth is I never care. I just say things that I believe should be said at the moment.

You are right. When Jesus died on the cross the veil of the temple that covered the entrance to the Holy of Holies (a priest would enter there only once a year) was torn from top to bottom by God. That veil was very thick and hand woven from a certain animals hair (would have to look it up) and it was strong. The tearing was symbolic that we all could now enter into the presence of God through Jesus at any time. The seperation from God is removed by Jesus.

I saw in a John Hagee tape that some Jewish scholars think it is at least possible that the Ark of the Covenant was hidden under the Temple under a huge cap stone in a hidden room and may still be there today along with many Temple artifacts. They want to go into the room but it is an engineering problem as well as a problem between them and the Arabs if I understood correctly. Could be a sign of the end times if it is found there.

Barney,
Something to be considered; Revelation 11:19 Then Gods Temple in Heaven was opened, and within His temple was seen the ark of His covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hail storm.
This verse does not imply a second ark but says The Ark of the covenant. I believe it was taken there by Yeshua possibly or an Angel of high order when the Lord was ressurected as a seal of His promises within the Law.
When the Lord was seen by Mary on the day of resurection He told her not to touch Him for He had not returned to the Father. When the High Priest makes the sacrifice he can not be touched once he has his garments on before he sprinkles the blood on the Mercy Seat where the
ark was located. I believe Yeshua had to go to the Father and sprinkle His blood on the Tabernacle in Heaven where the Ark of the Covenant then resided to Atone for all mankind. The Tabernacle is in Hebrews 8:5 They serve a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in Heaven. That is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the Tabernacle: See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain. The Tabernacle on this Earth is a literal shadow of the Heavenly Tabernacle.
These are just some thoughts on the Ark of the Covenant, for that Covenant has been fullfiled not abolished so to me it is in safe keeping in Heaven with lightning thunder and earthquakes. Nancy
