PX, Castlewood Systems was mentioned on this thread several months ago (before the September 97 top in Disk Drives). At the time, from what I recall, there were a few articles that discussed Castlewood. One of the main problems with Castlewood was the question of whether the company would ever be more than just an idea. I believe that Syquest was suing Syed H. Iftikar, claiming he was using technology that belonged to Syquest (isn't it wonderful how these tech companies like to sue each other?). Maybe there were other aspects to the suit as well.
So the question is: will Castlewood actually be able sell a product that makes money (the same question that applies to all mfg companies). There are legal problems, in addition to design and manufacturing problems, etc.

Regards,
Larry
