The same happened to me once. I sold some securities to cover my negative balance but they told me that I had to send cash. So I did.

Re: ETRADE statements- Have had trouble deciphering my January statement. Sent e-mails twice with detailed specific questions. Got e-mail answers, however, the answers did not respond to my questions. So, I thought I would call. I got a very pleasant person on the phone (after being on hold for 15 minutes). I explained my questions to this person and explained where I was looking on the statement. It turns out the the ETRADE service person is unable to pull up on her screen an image of the statement that I was questioning. So, I explained again my questions, I had her repeat the questions, and agreed that she would e-mail me a response. That was three weeks ago and I am still waiting.

Needless to say, I am very frustrated.
