Vixel info-they are saying some of the same things that Ancor has said for a long time and have similar graphics on their web site. The only difference is that they seem to be going for an end-to-end solution: vixel.com

You're right, that's what most likely is. You can partition an IBM mainframe to run multiple operating systems(VM, MVS). I can't remember if these different partitions can talk to the same storage devices though. Anyway, it's funny how things come around. Ancor should be talking to IBM about doing that with IBM's servers using Ancor's switches.
