Vixel info-they are saying some of the same things that Ancor has said for a long time and have similar graphics on their web site. The only difference is that they seem to be going for an end-to-end solution:

You're right, that's what most likely is. You can partition an
IBM mainframe to run multiple operating systems(VM, MVS). I can't
remember if these different partitions can talk to the same storage
devices though.
Anyway, it's funny how things come around. Ancor should be talking to
IBM about doing that with IBM's servers using Ancor's switches.

My first thought when I read about Brocade's "zoning" software was that it was their attempt to deal with a lack of SilkWorm scalability. <g>
