Stonehenge. I think my posts about Intel, suing etc. have fallen on deaf ears. Even Yaacov is joining the bandwagon and I know he has made good money on Intel and maybe CPQ if he bought it earlier last year. Yes, when you do some short trading you could end up being whipsawed more as when you hold long term as long as the cos. basic fundamentals are not changing. Intel has warned for several qtrs. now that their margins will be declining to evtl. around 50% ,give or take a few points, and that several qtrs. would be flat to "slightly" up. Well, it was less than flat. One more time: Crap happens. But any time you buy into this scenario you will take chances. Heck, I bought back some of my 500 shares of CPQ and you don't hear me crying yet, even though CPQ had not warned us before this past week and the CEO E. Pfeiffer was always very upbeat and told us things look good. So here could be some beef but I don't believe it was done on purpose. Maybe they took their eyes of the ball a bit being too pre-occupied with DEC, but a new CEO definitely will not solve this. I think it's quite dangerous just to think about suing your company when they have done well or even thinking about replacing a CEO when things look bleak for a cpl. of quarters. We on here have always said that it is not good to look at quarter to quarter results. It's the long term that counts. Maybe some of us are pre-occupied with other things also. I am not too pleased with that sudden attack on Intel for their basic business practices. I am very disappointed and I am certainly never married to a stock. I have always said that I trade some of my stocks here and there. But talking about suing and throwing a CEO out because the cos. have hit some hard times in a tough environment right now, is just unreal. I am not happy that news is being announced after the market closes. THAT IS MY BEEF. But I am not smart enough when it comes to running a company like Intel and CPQ to tell them how to run it or yelling for replacement for one less profitable year and this is not even the case with CPQ should it go to 20.

Have a nice weekend. I am planning on it which will mean I will be scarce on here this weekend. Sheesh.

Sonny

Stonehenge. I forgot about your question on bottom fishing. I am getting there in Intel and CPQ. I will wait for Monday though. gg.

I will check out some more news and stuff over the weekend and see how things go on Monday. If CPQ falls below 24 I will be tempted. I am not totallysure about Intel. I may just sit still on that one for a while unless some decide to drop it much further.

BTW. I like this stuff that is on the bottom of our posts now about Intel. It would be great if they would give us the last trade after hours also. Intel had an uptick when it closed but I know it went down after the market. I think SI should update that section, like I already said, and post the last after hour trade of the day.
