The unrealized profits are smaller because ACRT stock rose by one point. Not a big deal, but since Mr. Pink is meticulous and honest, He has revealed his profits as of Friday's close. Mr. Pink started shorting the stock at 22 and continued shorting on the last day of '97 at $27 and has shorted more all the way down. His average is 18.625.

As for an understanding of the 8K, it is clear from reading it that this is an effort on the part of Ricearoni to

1) further conceal his assets from his creditors
2) steal money from shareholders in another way since the options struck at 15 when the stock was at 20 doesn't look like such a good deal any more.
3) Since management owns some 35% of the company, it probably won't be that hard to get 15% of the shareholders to agree to some egregious form of compensation.

By the way enjoyed your site. Found it rather relieving.
