Phil your model for AAPL's G3 reduced mfg. costs has support

Your cost reduction estimate : " It's believed that some of cuts were due to the reduced costs of G3's chips, disk, and memory, let's say 7%. ".

Yesterday's $1,999 G3 PowerBook news added engineering efficiencies : " The G3/233 signals Apple's continued effort to cut manufacturing costs by simplifying its product lines.

Like the Power Mac G3 desktop systems, these notebooks will use a simplified, customizable circuit board design for a number of new notebook designs, a technique which streamlines manufacturing."

Plus CFO Anderson , in AAPL's latest (10Q) EDGAR , stated reduced S, G & A costs would affect 2Q's results .

Early signs of a coming AAPL Blossom Spring !
