It looks like from a chart I looked at on DLJdirect site that most of the volume was around 3pm on 3/6/98.... What a nice surprise when I got home yesterday. I have owned this one since the IPO in 11/94.....

NASDEQ INVESTOR FORUM - March 7, 1998 Phoenix, AZ. I just got back from the Forum and its all good news for Wavephore. They had a booth set up all day and did a presentation in one of the breakout rooms. The presentation was made to a standing room only audience. (had the biggest draw of the day including Intel and MCI) The presentation was very professional and there were several Analyst in attendance. Wavephore stated that the Microsoft purchase of 500,000 shares took them totally by surprise. They found out about it Thursday night. In addition they also made a point of clarification that it was Microsoft who approached them about bundling WaveTop with Windows 98. Key Points of the presentation included: - WaveTop is final testng and will roll out as scheduled. - WaveTop software is built into the operating system of Windows 98 - WaveTop Executives to be included in Windows 98 Promotion and , Analyst Tour. - Expect good avertising revenues with WaveTop. System speed and storage capicity will enable advertisers to basically broadcast Television quality commercials instead of the banners you see on the net. - WaveTop will be the first to market. - Only national VBI network - PBS (evidently it will be pretty complicated for anyone else to go national anytime soon) - Lined up the best content on the Net. - Now have agreements where 90% of TV Tuner boards come with WaveTop. - Signed licensing agreement with Compaq. - They did not slam other push broadcasters like Pointcast, but they did point out that the other technology is not even on the same planet. - Wavephore Networks is becoming very profitable. - Set up satellite broadcasts for the largest stock exchange in China. - Have been approached by several more European countries to set up broadcast systems for their stock exchanges. - You know all the elevator music you here in stores etc., chances are they set up the data broadcast. - Newscast is growing rapidly. They have companies with 1,000 to 10,000 PC's signing on. They get paid per PC. They said this a very fast growing segment of their business, as Corporations around the world realize they need up-to-the-minute news on whats happening with their competitors and markets. - Newscast uses a very superior technology (they own it). Derived from data collection and distribution system developed for the National Security Agency (NSA). Summary: Newscast revenues growing every quarter...very profitable. They are about to turn a profit on Newscast (big potential market). Setting up WaveTop has been the drain on revenues, but it will be worth the wait. They feel they are coming out with exactly the right product at the right time and they see it as a Home Run.
