Mike, I was reading some of your recent posts and I have these comments:
1. Never advise friends to buy a stock. I give people my opinions some times but let them know in no uncertain terms that the final choice is theirs and they should (must) do their own research. I choke when people buy a stock just because I own it or said I like it.
2. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. As a rule I only put 5% of my portfolio in any one stock.
3. Never take the word of insiders at face value. Do your own research and form your own opinions (and take full responsibility for your investments).
As for TCT, I have cut my holdings by over half in the past week. I am concerned that sales (and earnings) have levelled off in the past two quarters. I am also not happy to see PRE-tax earnings being reported. I was told that after-tax earnings would be about 35% less. At those levels and with the slowdown in sales, I have lost some of my enthusiasm for TCT. I hope I am wrong and sales/earnings pick up in the next few quarters, but if they don't, the stock doesn't have much upside.
