pink, the 1 mil shares offered as compensation have been figured into the intrinsic worth of the stock price since the original announcement of that offering. 5 million shares in the float, not 4 million, when figuring the real worth of the stock price. You shorts have pointed that out dozens of times. 20% of the float. That 20% has just been taken out of your own method of figuring. What's more, it's the first stage of a 1 mil share buyout to compensate Mr Ahroni with his stock. Yes, Mr Ahroni gets paid well. He deserves it. We stockholders have gotten very well compensated the last few years, also.
However, it's nothing compared to what we'll make this year from our investments in ACRT.

Mr. Pink,

I think there is some validity to Dave's proposition that the company can buy stock on the open market cheaper than they can give it to them as an option deal. This sounds reasonable to me and also an excellent hedge as it will be even better for them when they can buy it in single digits.

I also suggested in an earlier post the Aharoni and others could already be short after heeding your advice on this thread. Now when they buy back, they will be covering their own position at a handsome profit thereby funding a good portion of their share buy back. If true, they would not have to decimate the air conditioning business.

What is your opinion. Could this be financially lucrative for them? Is it ethical? You are much more qualified to pass judgement on this than I am.

Don

<<<There is no dilution if the shares are below the exercise price or were you out that day in Finance class as well.>>>>

Your statement is not true Mr. Pink. When diluted earnings are calculated, that 1 million shares will be taken out of the calculations and earnings per share will go up. No matter what you see it; It is a gift to shareholders. Earnings growth is the name of the game, and the option cancellation will boost earnings growth rate of the company. Higher earnings growth rate translates into higher share prices in the long run.

Judge Pink: Your Honor, we request that the Court admonish the witness and suggest he seek counsel before responding to the question.

However, if he refuses counsel, we would request that the stenographer read back the question, and that your Honor instruct the witness to answer. We believe we've posed a simple, straight-forward, question, Your Honor. The witness has been asked no fewer than three times. Yet, he apparently would benefit from admonishment.

Thank you, Your Honor.
