I found this post quite informative from the chemical/solvent perspective: Message 2957699

It is my understanding that Valence has been making good product in Henderson and believe that after a few days of initial testing, product from the same lot has been sent to the OEM(s) for simultaneous testing. I find it unlikely that the company has overlooked UL requirements and don't believe it to be a major concern.

It has been over a year since the company has started extensive trial and error testing of the assembly equipment with smaller cellphone cells and expired laminate materials to minimize scrap during testing. Somewhere around Oct/Nov I heard that they were pleased with operation at or near 100% for both lines 1 and 2.

As the company announced that they are producing in low volumes this month and will ramp up NI before the end of June, I would expect the scrap to down to low levels.
