Hi Folks! I know things are discouraging lately, but don't think for a minute that this thing is over. While the rumoured announcement of switching from core to RC drilling is indicative of the problems MEO is having at their current locale, it does not mean their hopes are dashed. It does mean they are learning, and that the geologists were perhaps a little presumptuous in their approach. The new approach currently under assessment by the crews may mean that good news is not right around the corner. But it also means this is far from over. Diamond exploration is a slow, and costly, undertaking. Perhaps they should bring on board someone more knowledgable of the region, namely some of the authors of "The Diamond Potential of Alberta" (who can be hired thru APEX Geoscience, of Edmonton) ... Montello has some great land in their AB portfolio, imo. Several of their properties remain prospective, including the area where they are currently drilling (even with the till depth problems). The alleged topographical highs in the region are where to look for hope. Other than that, look to the rest of their portfolio of land in AB. - - - - The silence on the part of Montello is a little unsettling, at best. I can still hear echoing in my ears the words of Thomas Yingling, "Unlike Ashton, if we hit kimberlite or diamonds, they'll hear about it on the moon" (or something to that effect), back in Nov. The silent route they are taking is evidence of their troubles, imHo. Blind faith is just plain silly. But hope should remain here. -Lots to go yet! Please note that I am aware of no more here than the general public. -j :>ps - Rumours out there that MEO is in discussions. I know no more.
