mindmeld & All: S&P's Platinum Portfolio includes CSCO

I just received the March Standard & Poor's Investor's Monthly and they're showing CSCO with 5 Star Rating, Fair Value rating of 4, and Fair-value price of $85.10

Explanation of Stars and Fair Value:
"S&P Fair Value Model is a quantitative model that seeks to identify undervalued stocks. The calculation of fair value is based on fundamentals, such as a stock's profit growth potential, price-to-book value, return on equity, and dividend yield relative to the S&P 500 Index. Group 5 is the highest and contains stocks considered the most undervalued. The fair value price of these issues is considerably greater than their current price implying price appreciation potential.

S&P STARS. Standard & Poor's evaluates the appreciation potential of more than 1,000 common stocks. In assigning or changing a STARS ranking, our industry group specialists, employing traditional fundamental analysis, look to the short term -- gauging a stock's performance over the next six to 12 months. STARS also comprises five tiers, with 5 indicating a strong buy.

The PLATINUM PORTFOLIO combines these two systems. A stock must carry a five-STARS ranking and a five fair value ranking for inclusion. Stocks remain in the Platinum Portfolio as long as they carry a five-STARS ranking or a five fair value ranking. Stocks are removed from the portfolio only on losing the top rating in both systems."

So.....any dips on CSCO right now would be considered great buying opportunities.

BTW, INTC is not in S&Ps March Platinum Portfolio.
