If G* rates are good I wouldn't even bother with GSM in europe as it so expensive to call from one country to another for example if I am in ROME and I have english gsm phone anyone who wants to reach me has to pay to call England/international and when they call I also have to pay for incoming call from UK! G*has gotta be cheaper!???
please correct me if i am wrong it's been along time since I was in europe things may of changed, anyway I am sure alot of people who travel in europe will trade in their gsm phone for a gsm/globalstar phone,
regards
Bruce

I'm going to reverse course for argument sake. TDMA is experimenting with "smart antenna" technology that looks very promising. Interactive week's Mar 2nd print issue had a good article about WLL. LU is touting increasing TDMA capacity via this bit of technology. It is hoped that it will allow TDMA to give higher data rates than it is now feasibly possible.
