Big E-Commerce Show:

Will IBM announce product with Wave meters at this show? Would be a perfect place.

headlines.yahoo.com

UPDATE:

Just found this Press release from IBM after I wrote the above: Below is text taken from IBM's announcement. Though they do not mention Wave, it still shows how commited IBM is to e-commerce solutions. IMO, I think IBM may stay low key about announcing products with meters and consider their relationship with Wave a test. You can't confuse your current client base and Wave is years away from mass consumer distribution and usage.

DocStone,

Certainly others also seem to think it is a good idea to provide a billing service at the ISP level:

biz.yahoo.com.
(BTW, note CyberCash targeting the sub $10 range of transactions)Would Oracle have in mind with this server a way for ISPs to bill customers for connection time to their servers?

Wave should probably not ignore this avenue. It could be an awful lot quicker than waiting for all old PCs to be replaced with Wave Meter capable ones.

Processing speed of the chip would not be a problem if I read one of Mr. Sprague's earlier posts correctly.

Cheers

Paul
