CED,
i was hoping altr was going up to 45/46 when it closed at 44. i felt that was a great target to short from. then intel rained on everyones parade and the tech got killed. altr did recover half its losses, but the way the stock was behaveing told me to not wait for 44 this time and enter the short around 42. altr IMHO is the best of the programmable logic companies, but i just feel they have gotten ahead of themselves. they can do that for long periods of time though. last year i bought at 35 and sold at 64 (both pre split) thinking there was little upside. it then went up to the equivolent of almost twice my exit price. hopefully, that wont happen this time as i have shorted it. there are just too many negatives in the market right now. intel and cpq are the biggest and they are giving earnings warnings. how far behind can altr and other semis in that kind of environment. altr revs and eps have been flat to down for the last 3 qtrs.

Anyone find it interesting that CNBC's Maria B. reported the Edlestone upgrade this morning when the news broke Friday and...
CNBC reported it Friday already, as did numerous other outlets?

What, was Morgan disappointed there wasn't more of a pop? <g>

Good trading,

Tom
