RB:

Smells wafting from the kitchen winding their way through time and space as my nostrils call out for more and more of the same. As I lurk on this thread, ohhhh the aroma of the onion, the garlic, and the peppers as they mingle with tomato sauces extraordinare'. Ah the smell of the hot buttered garlic as it is layered over the French Bread. Now the joy of both smells intertwine as they slowly make a welcome invasion into my territory.

Hint Hint

Could it be that it is time for another chili party on the thread?
Debra

RB - Scuse me fer duckin out on the chat.

My wife called me to late lunch, chicken n dumplins, lima beans, baked apples, brussel sprouts, iced sweet tea, and brownies fresh from the oven, - So, natcherly I tore myself away long enough to eat.

Got her off of a farm here in Alabama, (found out she could cook afore I proposed) and I brung her to town and kept her. I aim to keep her even iffen FTEL goes to a hunnert dollers cause it's hard to find good cooks now!

I'm retired now but I know how it is when country (or small town) folk go to the big city! That sounded like some of the social events I have attended in my younger days. After reading the list you posted, maybe ol Fuzzy Wuzzy actually was there! Might have just been overlooked in the festivities. <GG>

Don't know if I'm man enough to eat the crawdad stew, sounds laripin though.

RD, I'm sure I would enjoy a trip to the next SHM with you. If I can keep her from reading bout all the fun those guys had, she might let you chaperone me.
If you get that Investment Club goin, an I keep eatin like I have been since I retired, I will qualify under the Pot Belly requirement. :^)

Got an invite to go to a private performance by a live Bluegrass band tonite, see ya later. EOM
