FPAM I looked at the FPAM thread and they were stymied as to what happened to their company. They were exhilarated when they read that FPAM beat estimates, which is what they were supposed to do. Seems that FPAM had some accounting irregularities do to their many acquisitions that got them into trouble. The stock was a laggard for the past week and was only up a bit on Thursday.. Thursday would probably been ripe for a daytrade, but I was not tempted. I would have gotten in on Friday, had I seen an upswing but that was not to happen. Obviously many many investors were betting on FPAM beating estimates. In fact they DID beat estimates. They even said they were comfortable with the estimates, but other variables that the investors were not privy to came into play.

FPAM would easily become a dead cat bounce play as did CPU but I would not rush blindly into this stock. Our lists are watch lists and not buy lists. I am on the mailing list of a very, very pricey daily selection list and their stocks were down in 3 out of 4 cases in the last week or so. What they do is state the criteria for a buy and if the criteria are not met then the stock is an invalid play. So they had 3 invalid plays in the last 4 'at bats'. There were enough easy pickings from my list and others that obviated getting into FPAM.

If you still want to chance FPAM, obviously you have to watch the tick on Monday morning. Since I feel nasdaq will have pressure on Monday due to some comments from CPQ, I would not count on any big gains in that direction.
