Anyone has any guess on the effect of the inventory problem on the earning this year? For that matter, what would be the growth rate for CPQ from this point on? Without getting a handle on the growth rate and earning prospect of CPQ, it would be impossible to guess the long
term price range. Anyone has any thoughts?

The teens does sound ridiculous, CPQ/DEC below 20 means a market cap below 28 billion on sales of 40+ billion. If that occurs while Dell holds with a market cap of 47 billion, I guess I'll simply see a few more gray hairs on top of my head!!!

Tony:

I wish I were joking. Thank God it is only an opinion and I hope it is wrong.

I watched Adaptec issue warnings after the close on a Thursday, fall from 32 to 26 1/2 afterhours and open at 24. At that point it fell back to the high 18's and closed below 22.

Obviously Adaptec is another company, but it like Compaq, had a sterling growth record and many shareholders who had huge profits took cover. I believe Compaq has many shareholders in from many splits ago, that may, at least for the moment fear the worst.

Again, Just my 2 cents. By the way your guess puts us to 4 bucks. Ed McMahon move over.
