To all: this is very old news but I was speaking this morning about the national distributors for Compaq and IBM, well I was reviewing the thread for Tech Data and here was a relevant comment from last Oct that I wanted to share with all of you: To: Ross Brown (259 ) From: Judy Muldawer Friday, Oct 3 1997 8:05AM EST Reply # of 278 My understanding is that TECD is readying itself to build custom computers for IBM to compete with the likes of the DELL market. If folks want a custom built system from IBM, TECD will build it at their facility. This takes money to get started, hence the secondary offering. Still holding.
