Guys and Gals, this is the deal. We have seen several years of growth throughout the industry, and now we are going to see the reverse for the next little while. Any one out there who actually traded stock before the early 90's knows the market does not constantly go up. Compaq and Intel may have been the first to warn, but be assured they will not be the last. Asia is a serious problem and now we are going to feel it. If you own shares of CPQ as I do, be happy. It is a great company and 12 to 18 months from now, it will be back over $40. It is now time to be patient. If you have some extra cash, buy a few more shares. If you do not like CPQ, do not. However, don't waste your time pulling out your hair trying to make short term predictions. I can promise you all that the short term is gonna be a disaster for CPQ and just about everyone else. The market is overvalued, the Asian flu is here, the year 2000 is coming, and we must all be patient. Long live CPQ!
