Actually, most of the shorts I know don't bother arguing with the fanatic longs. I'm not quite sure why I do it, I guess it's fun. The reality is you don't have a clue as to what's happening with Crystallex.

knight, The herd effect is quite complex, if the Assenio followers lose faith the herd will not run in step and they will balk, once they balk a bit he has lost. He depends on the sheeplike obedience of large numbers of fools. The trouble is a lot are not fools, but opportunists who want to win and hold back a bit when they see the balk. A good stampede need the dumb animals to lower their heads and run over the cliff. At that point Assenio has many carcasses to pick from.
