BIAC is my favorite,I used to play golf with a buddy that was on probation(he lived on a golf course also). He had to wear a monitor, but we could play holes,6,7,9 and still be within his zone<lol>. Probation and constructive rehabilitation is the name of the game in this business for 70% of detentionees..DD
PS: there is a thread for USXX,come and visit,it gets a bit lonely<vbg>.I've been using it as a place to store any info I can find that pertains to the stock,it's pretty quiet( the stock went up 30% in a day a few weeks back and no one even posted-very secure, mellow crew)

Sergio, one last comment on BIAC,there aren't to many businesses that you can manufacture and sell the unit, maintain that unit(at a cost),and then charge them to use the unit<vbg>-look at the re-occuring revenues-that is where the gravy is....

And on USXX,check out this new lease agreement-you can't be the price<lol>
"LTI has an operating lease agreement with Wackenhut
Corrections Corporation, The Texas Department of Criminal
Justice, Division of Pardons and Paroles and the City of
Lockhart, Texas, to lease approximately 27,800 square feet
of manufacturing and office space commencing February 1,
1997 through January 31, 2000 and provides for an automatic
three year extension unless notification is given by either
party at least six months prior to the expiration of each
term. The lease provides for annual rental rates of $1 per
year for the primary term and the automatic three year
extension. The amount of space under the lease is subject
to be increased or decreased depending upon the number of
residents employed by LTI on August 31, 1997."
Sergio, great to talk with you again,it's been awhile, hope you and your family are well..Kenny

Good morning Sergio,Chris and all. Sergio, you made a joke about the global positioning collar for your dog(or maybe it wasn't a joke),but it may not be that far away<vbg>. BIAC's technology and ownership of that technology,IMO can be used in a way that could significantly change the face of probation/court order/monitoring in general.
Think of the possibilities, pedofile/child abuse-the ability to track offenders within a few meters, anywhere on the globe, and be notified in seconds if that offender goes where they shouldn't,for instance a school zone.
Spousal abuse/restraining orders-the ability to track the offender if they go where they shouldn't,for instance the home of the protected.
Alzheimer's patients-ability to track and rescue( my grandmother's in the mid stages-she's fit as a horse at 88yo,but gets lost on here twice daily walks)
Hospitals-ability to monitor newborns/guard from abduction( a company is already providing this service, doesn't necessarily require GPS)
And the overall obvious benefits to the monitored individuals themselves(early release, more freedom, higher self-esteem, etc) and the relief of overcrowding in the existing detention system..Just some thoughts-I won't bog the thread down anymore<vbg>..DD
PS: it's funny, everytime I think of this company,I picture James T. Kirk in the episode of Star Trek, where he was a prisoner with a collar around his neck that would choke him when he got out of line.<g>
