PB, I don't have all of the details. The Keystone meeting was last month. I think that the Lake Tahoe meeting just happened. I think that LGND may have revealed the structure and it is about 500 daltons. The molecule described at the meeting was for G-CSF and I think that it was specific for the mouse G-CSF. However, I believe that DR suggested that SBH may file an IND this year, so I suspect that the human version is well on its way, but Ligand is NOT talking about it. I also suspect that many of the 200 pending patents are in this area.
LGND has a screening procedure. They have a prototype that works. I strongly suspect that the screening protocol is widely applicable and LGND has been using it for awhile. They have screened many big pharma's libraries. I'm not sure what was screen for what and with what, but I would say that the me toos are now everywhere.
