I am a holder of AAPL.Unfortunatley, I will probably have to sell AAPL to cover a most probable margin call as a result of CPQ's shortfall.

Perhaps a lesson can (or should) be learned from the events that have transpired over the past several months. I now believe that there is a certain intelligence in the financial world that will determine valuation. Over the past few weeks, we were all guilty of bashing the various analysts for their negative comments, thinking that they all have their own agendas. I've seen this happen with GTW last year. When enough analysts are consistently suggesting shortfalls, and the valuation of the stock is either stagnated or drifting, the shareholders should start running for cover and punch out. The signs were there, I just choose to ignore them (shame on me. My average cost is about $38.00 post split).

The only optimistic thing that can be said at this time, is that the news on the dissapointing quarter is now out. It seems as if the market can tolerate good news and bad news. It just cannot tolerate the unknown.

Best of luck to all.

David
