Michael - Re: "do you remember what happened to PC sales a few months prior to Windows 95 coming out?"

I remember Intel's stock ran up to $78 (uncorrected for splits) a few days before the July announcement of Q295 earnings.

Intel's stock slid backwards into the low $60's and $50s from there. Win 95 came out in late August of 1995.

Intel's stock didn't start to "climb" until January of 1996 - from the low $50s to >$100 by the fall (all uncorrected for stock splits).

I don't recall actual data on PC sales at the time.
