<< The Gigamux and Net+Arm (not sure about IQX-200) are both all alone right now with no competitors >>

That's not true. There are competitors to the Gigamux right now and there are more coming online very quickly. I have mentioned them before and FIBR even referred to IBM as a competitor in the conference call. IBM, ADVA, Artel, and others have had short-haul WDM products out for a while. CIEN said in their last conference call that their Metro product was being evaluated right now. There are rumors that Bell Atlantic is going with CIEN right now.

And I'm going to say it again, up until now the short haul market has been slow to develop. It probably still won't begin to take off until the second half of the year. That's why companies like LU, CIEN, NN, HP, Pirelli, etc didn't rush out with a bunch of short-haul products to counter Osicom's "first to market" claim. There was no need because there wasn't a large opportunity! NT even shied away from short-haul WDM saying that it wasn't worthwhile for the time being.

Remember these awards? Didn't stop FIBR from diluting your shares with several finacing deals. Didn't drive sales and earnings for the last 3 quarters. GOOD PRODUCTS (even if the Gigamux is one of those) don't seem to be enough for this company!
