While I am not the expert in finance and creative accounting, I can tell you that GTW had a similar problem with it's third(?)quarter where they were stuck with excess inventory. GTW admitted this problem and took appropriate measures including taking a loss/charge for the quarter. Their next quarter earnings which were announced some time at the end of 1997 proved to be a positive blow away quarter, beating all analyists estimates and was reflected in the valuation of their stock. It is my hope that CPQ can do the same (or better) for the next quarter. David
