Rubble, I think the TRMB strategy on resellers/software applications is now common, and was begun by Microsoft. Here, the basic vendor offers a platform and invites software types to develop applications for it -- not unlike what Microsoft is now doing with Auto PC, or has done before with Windows and other products. I think they are trying to broaden their market and will be content to sell the basic product every time someone else comes up with a new application. It's a kind of intellectual leveraging.
