Islander, frankly I would'nt buy a computer today...there will be 1,000 mhz processors to gobble up those 1,000 mhz INTC chips before too long...I think I'm like most people when I say that there's no reason for me to upgrade now when the upgrade is not a quantum leap in technology...all the current software runs just fine on my older unit...therein lies the crux of the problem for many high techs...demand is slowing...but, there are still a lot of first time computer buyers out there and they will clear out CPQ's excess inventory during the upcoming fire sale...
