Thanks Harry, Patrick and Jim for your answers to my moving averages questions.I did not know if there was a standard and you 3 have made it clear there is none. The decision to use sma over ema is dependant on the application. I guess that is why I like the ema because it uses the more recent activity more heavily then the older.It works best for my type of trading.
