Ed, I short and I long depending on what I think a stock will do. I speak off line to many of the other folks who short, long and sometimes do both. There is no conspiracy out there amongst shorters. If there is, Barb and many other decent folk aren't letting me in on it. To use the language you have, specifically directed at Barb, is immature and unwarrented. Can't someone change their mind about a company after years of unkept promises? Would you rather she not said anything at all, because a lie of ommision is still a lie. I think her honesty in discussing her past mistakes is proof of her integrity and honesty, not the sign of some conspiracy. Your paranoid delusions about manipulation are better placed on the brokers that cold call and make long recommendations when they or their clients owns a buttload of a particular stock and want to dump into buying. Where's your outrage at that practice? I find most of the bogus recommendations and manipulation comes from the funds and brokers who own lots and lots of stock and need to get out. Take a look at AVNT There is no motivation for a few short sellers to try to get together and move the market based on fear. That's just plain silly. dr.seuss.com
