The new Bell Atlantic Mobile digital choice product seems to target both Nextel and Sprint PCS. The only advantages I see with Nextel is the group direct connect feature which they charge 12› per minute per participant for and the per second billing. The two way radio direct connect is at a distinct disadvantage to full duplex mobile to mobile. The $5 per month rental of the phone is also about 40 months versus a purchase of a Nextel. Does anyone here expect an immediate competitive response from Nextel? Am I missing any advantages that Nextel has?
